Die Genossenschaft bezweckt in gemeinsamer Selbsthilfe die Förderung des Sportbetriebes und der Freizeitgestaltung für ihre Mitglieder auf dem Sportplatz Burgerweg in Thun, wobei insbesondere auf die Bedürfnisse des FC Rot-Schwarz Thun sowie auf die Anliegen der Jugend Rücksicht zu nehmen ist. Kann Grundstücke erwerben, verwalten oder weiterveräussern sowie alle Geschäfte eingehen und Verträge abschliessen, die geeignet sind, den Zweck der Gesellschaft zu fördern, oder die direkt oder indirekt damit im Zusammenhang stehen. Die Genossenschaft ist politisch und konfessionell neutral.
