## Purpose

Die Stiftung will das Werk und die Persönlichkeit des Schriftstellers James Joyce weltweit und in erster Linie in Zürich, einer seiner bedeutenden Wirkungsstätten, lebendig erhalten. Workshops, Lesungen, literarische und musikalische Veranstaltungen, die im Zusammenhang mit James Joyce oder seinem Werk stehen, sollen regelmässig, wenn möglich mehrmals jährlich durchgeführt werden. Eine jährliche Publikation ist vorgesehen. Die Bibliothek des James Joyce Spezialisten Dr. Fritz Senn soll erhalten, ausgebaut und der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sein. Die Stiftung kann neben Anschaffungen für die Bibliothek auch Kunstwerke und Erinnerungsstücke erwerben, die einen Zusammenhang mit James Joyce oder seinem Werk aufweisen. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
