Zu den Studierenden der SJS zählen auch Schüler von Tochtergesellschaften, an denen SJS eine Mehrheitsbeteiligung hat, sowie Studierende der Stiftung Hochschule für Technik (HSZ-T), die bis zur Integration der HSZ-T in die kantonale Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW) bei der HSZ-T immatrikuliert sind, bzw. bis zum Abschluss ihrer Ausbildung an der ZHAW.
