## Purpose

Der WPC verfolgt den Zweck, die internationale Sanitärindustrie zusammenzuführen, um die Umwelt sowie die Gesundheit der Bevölkerung weltweit im Interesse aller zu schützen und zu bewahren. Zur Erreichung dieses Zwecks nimmt der Verein insbesondere folgende Aufgaben wahr: Reputation sowie Qualitätsstandard der globalen Sanitärindustrie fördern und weiterentwickeln; Den Austausch von Informationen, Ideen und Technologien zwischen Organisationen der Sanitärindustrie und ihren Mitgliedern weltweit fördern und erleichtern; Aus- und Weiterbildungsinitiativen in der Sanitärindustrie - unter Berücksichtigung der Notwendigkeit international anerkannter Qualifikationsstandards - fördern und unterstützen; Für die Rolle der Sanitärindustrie im Umweltschutz sensibilisieren - durch die Bereitstellung von sauberem Wasser und sanitärer Infrastruktur sowie durch Förderung nachhaltiger Bewirtschaftung, Pflege, Wiederverwendung und Erhaltung natürlicher Ressourcen; Relevante Informationen über Forschungsprojekte und technologische Entwicklungen in der Sanitärindustrie bereitstellen und austauschen; Mindestens alle drei Jahre eine WPC-Konferenz zur Förderung des kontinuierlichen Wachstums und der Entwicklung der Mitgliedschaft organisieren. Eine Änderung des Vereinszwecks kann keinem Vereinsmitglied einseitig auferlegt werden.
