Die Erreichung dieses Zweckes erstrebt sie insbesondere durch: a) Vermietung und Betrieb von preisgünstigem studentischem Wohnraum gemäss den Bedürfnissen der Studierenden, sowie durch die Verwaltung von Immobilien, die mit dieser Tätigkeit verbunden sind; b) Entwicklung, Unterstützung und Mitfinanzierung von Projekten zur Bereitstellung von geeignetem und preisgünstigem Wohnraum für die Studierenden, sowie die Beschaffung von Mitteln zu diesem Zweck; c) Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Organisationen, die das studentische Wohnen und das Jugendwohnen fördern, insbesondere der Stiftung für Studentisches Wohnen, Zürich, sowie ETH und Universität Zürich. d) Öffentlichkeitsarbeit zur Förderung des studentischen Wohnens. Die Wohnräume der Woko dürfen grundsätzlich nur vermietet werden an Studierende: a) der ETH Zürich und der Universität Zürich, b) der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, der pädagogischen Hochschule Zürich und der Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften c) der Kantonalen Maturitätsschule für Erwachsene, Zürich, d) sowie unter besonderen Bedingungen an Doktorand/innen sowie Gastdozent/innen der vorstehenden Schulen. Über allfällige Ausnahmen von diesem Grundsatz, die insbesondere durch Auflagen von Spendern, Subventionsbehörden oder Vertragspartnern bedingt sind, sowie über die besonderen Bedingungen gemäss § 2 Abs. 2 lit. d), entscheidet der Vorstand, der darüber ein Reglement erlassen kann. Er kann die Wohnberechtigung auf Studierende weiterer, vergleichbarer und gleichwertiger Bildungsinstitutionen ausdehnen.
