## Purpose

Der Verband vertritt und fördert die Interessen der öffentlichen und privaten Waldbesitzer und/oder Waldeigentümer sowie ihrer Forstbetriebe. Er setzt sich insbesondere für die Waldwirtschaft ein. Er unterstützt die regionalen und kantonalen Waldbesitzerverbände in ihren Aufgaben und arbeitet mit ihnen zusammen. Der Verband wahrt die Interessen der Waldeigentümer und -besitzer sowie ihrer Forstbetriebe auch im Bereich der Arbeitgeber-/Arbeitnehmerbeziehungen. Zur Förderung einer gedeihlichen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Arbeitgebern und Arbeitnehmern kann er gesamtarbeitsvertragliche und ähnliche Vereinbarungen mit den repräsentativen Arbeitnehmerverbänden der Waldwirtschaft abschliessen.
