## Purpose

Die VOSS tritt im Sinne der «Verordnung über die Produktion und das Inverkehrbringen von Getreidesaatgut» (Getreide-Saatgutverordnung) vom 23. Dezember 1994 als Vermehrungsorganisation auf. In dieser Funktion bezweckt sie die Vermehrung und Aufbereitung bewährter und neuer Sorten von Getreide, aber auch von Klee und anderen Gewächsen zur Abgabe erstklassigen Saatgutes. Die VOSS ist eine Sektion des Schweizerischen Saatgutproduzentenverbandes, nachfolgend kurz SSPV genannt, der seinerseits die Vertretung der Interessen der Saatgutvermehrer gegenüber Behörden wahrnimmt.
