## Purpose

Die Stiftung ist gemeinnützig und bezweckt, dem Naturhistorischen Museum zu erleichtern, auch fernerhin eine Pflegestätte der Forschung auf den Gebieten der vergleichenden Anatomie und Palaeontologie der Wirbeltiere zu bleiben. Die Ausschüttungen sollen in erster Linie der wissenschaftlichen Verwertung der im Museum angehäuften Materialien dienen (Illustration, eventuell auch Druck von Publikationen). In zweiter Linie können sie innerhalb des Stiftungszwecks verschiedensten Spezialzwecken dienstbar gemacht werden, wie Reisezulagen, Ausgrabungen, Anschaffung von Büchern, Instrumenten, und Studienmaterialien oder Assistenz, doch sollen immer solche Zwecke bevorzugt werden, für welche keine hinlänglichen Mittel aus anderen Quellen erhältlich sind.
