## Purpose

Zweck ist die Förderung des Jazz in der Region Basel auf gemeinnütziger Basis insbesondere die Ermöglichung von Auftritten junger regionaler Berufsmusiker:innen. Es wird ein möglichst intensiver Kulturaustausch innerhalb der Region sowie zwischen dieser und entsprechenden Institutionen in der Romandie und in der italienischen Schweiz angestrebt. Der Verein verfolgt keine kommerziellen Zwecke und erstrebt keinen Gewinn. Der Verein unterstützt zu diesem Zweck insbesondere ein Vereins- und Club-Lokal mit einem kulturellen Auftrag und einem regelmässigen Konzertprogramm, das er durch Beschluss des Vorstands auch selbst betreiben kann.
