## Purpose

Der Verein unterstützt die internationale Pfadibewegung, indem er das von der "Stiftung Internationales Pfadfinderzentrum Kandersteg" gemietete Zentrum mit eigenen Mitarbeitern betreibt. Er stellt die Gebäude und den Lagerplatz den Mitgliedern der von den Pfadi-Weltorganisationen (World Organization of the Scout Movement WOSM und World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts WAGGGS) anerkannten Verbänden zur Verfügung. Er sorgt dafür, dass die Gäste günstige Bedingungen vorfinden, um ihre Lager und andere Anlässe in einer alpinen Landschaft durchführen zu können. Mit der Führung des internationalen Zentrums will der Verein: die internationale Freundschaft unter Pfadis aller Länder fördern; durch Anwendung der Pfadimethoden und Grundsätze zur persönlichen Entwicklung jedes Einzelnen beitragen; das internationale Pfaditum nach den Grundsätzen der Weltorganisationen (WOSM und WAGGGS) fördern; praktische Gelegenheit bieten, die Alpenwelt kennenzulernen; es liegt in der Kompetenz des Vorstandes, das Zentrum auch Nicht-Pfadi zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der Verein ist politisch unabhängig und konfessionell nicht gebunden. Er bezweckt keinen Gewinn und jede Gewinnausschüttung an seine Mitglieder ist ausgeschlossen.
