## Purpose

Der Verband hat folgende Aufgaben: a) Wahrnehmung der dem Verband durch das Musikschulgesetz, die Musikschulverordnung und den Leistungsvertrag mit der Bildungs- und Kulturdirektion des Kantons Bern zugewiesenen Aufgaben; b) Wahrung der gemeinsamen Interessen der Musikschulen auf kantonaler und regionaler Ebene; c) Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verband Musikschulen Schweiz (VMS), der Hochschule der Künste Bern (Fachbereich Musik) und anderen Institutionen und Verbänden auf kantonaler und nationaler Ebene; d) Durchführung oder Unterstützung von Weiterbildungsveranstaltungen für die Leitung und die Lehrkräfte von Musikschulen; e) Controllingaufgaben gegenüber den Mitgliedschulen; f) Information und Beratung der Mitglieder.
