## Purpose

Errichtung und Führung eines Tibet-Institutes zur geistlichen und geistigen Betreuung der in der Schweiz lebenden Tibeter, zur Einhaltung und Weitergabe der heimischen religiösen und kulturellen Werte von Tibet durch tibetische Gelehrte und Geistliche und zur Erleichterung von wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten im Zusammenhang mit tibetischen Quellen und Überlieferungen auf den Gebieten der Religionsgeschichte, der Literatur, der Musik, der Kunstgeschichte, der Sprachforschung, der Medizin und Pharmazeutik. Die Stiftung bezweckt im Weiteren die Vermittlung von westlicher Kultur an Tibeter und die Vermittlung von tibetischer Kultur an die westliche Bevölkerung. Allgemein soll das Tibet-Institut dem Dialog zwischen tibetischer und westlicher Kultur dienen. Die Stiftung ist zu allen mit ihrem Zweck im Zusammenhang stehenden Tätigkeiten und Handlungen ermächtigt, insbesondere zur Errichtung und zum Betrieb der für die Führung des Institutes geeigneten Bauten und Einrichtungen, zur Durchführung von Kursen und Zusammenkünften und zum Austausch von wissenschaftlichen Urkunden, Büchern und weiteren Forschungsgegenständen; sie kann im Rahmen ihres Zweckes auch geistliche, kulturelle und wissenschaftliche Bestrebungen der westlichen Hemisphäre zur Erforschung und Vertiefung der Kenntnis tibetischer Überlieferung fördern. Ferner kann die Stiftung Institutionen unterstützen, welche allgemein dem Wohl der aus Tibet nach dem westlichen Europa oder nach Nord- und Südamerika ausgewanderten Tibeter und ihren mit Tibet und seiner Religion noch verbundenen Nachkommen dienen.
