## Purpose

Zweck von Swissrail ist es, die Interessen ihrer Mitglieder im In- und Ausland zu wahren und zu vertreten sowie die Wahrnehmung und die Marktchancen der Branche in der Schweiz und im Ausland zu fördern. Swissrail steht Organisationen, Institutionen, Behörden und Partnern als Anlaufstelle der Schweizer Bahnindustrie und Mobilitätsunternehmen zur Verfügung und fördert die Kontaktpflege und Meinungsbildung unter den Mitgliedern sowie mit diesen Dritten. Zur Erfüllung des Zwecks des Verbands stellt sich Swissrail zugunsten ihrer Mitglieder folgende Hauptaufgaben: a) Förderung der Zusammenarbeit unter den Mitgliedern; b) Vermittlung von Markt- und anderen Informationen, welche für die Mitglieder relevant sind; c) Unterstützung und Koordination der Mitglieder bei der Marktbearbeitung im In- und Ausland, insbesondere durch die Organisation und Durchführung von Fachmessen; d) Unterstützung der Mitglieder beim Zugang zu nationalen und internationalen Projekten; e) Vertretung der Mitgliederinteressen gegenüber Behörden, diplomatischen Vertretungen, Verkehrsunternehmen, Verbänden sowie Wirtschafts- und Bildungsorganisationen im In- und Ausland; f) Betreiben eines aktiven Lobbyings und Networkings.
