Der Verband sucht seinen Zweck zu erreichen, indem er die die Bekanntheit und Akzeptanz von Strukturierten Produkten sowie der Mitglieder im In- und Ausland fördert; Wissen über Strukturierte Produkte und ihren Einsatz fördern und vermitteln; ein Kommunikationsorgan zur Wahrung der gemeinsamen Interessen der Mitglieder u.a. gegenüber Behörden, anderen Verbänden, Medien, nationalen und internationalen Organisationen schafft; gegebenenfalls Empfehlungen erlässt und Verhaltensregeln und Branchenstandards definiert; das Umfeld und die polititschen und regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen von Strukturierten Produkten im In- und Ausland beobachtet und Studien, Statistiken und Lösungsvorschläge zu Fragestellungen und Problemen der Mitglieder erstellt.
