## Purpose

SQB bezweckt die Förderung von Softwarequalität, Software Testing, Requirements Engineering, Qualitätssicherung, Prozessreife, Aus- und Weiterbildung sowie fachlichem Austausch entlang des Softwarelebenszyklus in der Schweiz und im internationalen Austausch. Der Verein verfolgt einen ideellen Zweck. Er verfolgt keinen wirtschaftlichen Zweck und strebt keinen Gewinn an. Sämtliche Mittel des Vereins werden ausschliesslich zur Erfüllung des Vereinszwecks verwendet. Der Zweck wird insbesondere umgesetzt durch Mitwirkung in nationalen und internationalen Organisationen, lokale Koordination und Unterstützung anerkannter Bildungs-, Prüfungs-, Zertifizierungs- und Akkreditierungsmodelle, Unterstützung von ISTQB, TMMi, IREB und weiteren fachlich passenden Initiativen, Umsetzung des ISTQB Certified Tester Schemas in der Schweiz, soweit SQB durch ISTQB als ISTQB-Mitgliedsboard (Member Board) anerkannt ist, Pflege und Veröffentlichung fachlicher Materialien, Unterstützung von Provider- und Akkreditierungsprozessen sowie Förderung von Forschung, Veranstaltungen, Publikationen und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.
