## Purpose

Die Stiftung hat den Zweck, aus Anlass der 700-Jahrfeier der Eidgenossenschaft im Jahre 1991 einen Wanderweg um den Urnersee genannt "Weg der Schweiz", "Voie Suisse", "Via Svizzera", "Via Svizra" in seiner Grundausrüstung zu projektieren und zu bauen, die notwendigen Weg- und Landrechte zu erwerben sowie seinen Fortbestand zu sichern. Der Wanderweg führt vom Rütli über die Gemeinde Seelisberg, Bauen, Isenthal, Seedorf, Flüelen, Sisikon und Morschach nach Ingenbohl-Brunnen. Jeder Kanton belegt ein Teilstück; die Reihenfolge entspricht jener beim Eintritt in den Bund. Die Länge des Teilstücks spiegelt die gegenwärtige Einwohnerzahl des betreffenden Kantons wieder.
