## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt im Personal-Dienstbarkeitsvertrag (Pachtvertrag) mit der Oberallmeindkorporation Schwyz vom 25. Juli 1984 beschriebenen Gebiet die Erhaltung von seltenen Waldgesellschaften und Landschaften; die Erforschung der Waldgesellschaften nach Bannlegung durch regelmässig wiederkehrende Aufnahmen und die Beobachtung des von Menschen ungestörten, natürlich vor sich gehenden Lebensablaufes des Waldes; die Erhaltung schöner Wald- und Landschaftsbilder; das Reservat Bödmeren soll der wissenschaftlichen Forschung dienen, z.B. in den Themenfeldern der Waldökologie, Geologie, Botanik und Ornithologie; eine besondere Rolle spielen dabei die ETH Zürich und die Eidgenössische Forschungsanstalt für Wald, Schnee und Landschaft WSL, welche gemeinsam ein Wald-Langzeitmonitoring betreiben; das Reservat steht in Absprache mit dem Stiftungsrat auch anderen Forschungsinstitutionen offen.
