## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Organisation, Finanzierung und Verwaltung des Sinfonieorchester Basel (nachstehend kurz: "SOB"). Die Stiftung organisiert eigene Konzerte mit dem SOB und seinen verschiedenen Formationen. Im Weiteren stellt die Stiftung das SOB und seine verschiedenen Formationen prioritär dem Theater Basel nach Massgabe des entsprechenden Nutzervertrags sowie weiteren Konzertveranstaltern gegen Entgelt zur Verfügung. Zudem fördert die Stiftung die Vermittlung im Musikbereich sowie generell das gesellschaftliche und kulturpolitische Bewusstsein in Bezug auf klassische und zeitgenössische Orchester- und Ensemblemusik. Die Stiftung kann mit Dritten aus dem Bereich der Musik und mit Veranstaltern aus anderen Bereichen der Kultur zusammenarbeiten. Die Stiftung fördert Produktionen des SOB, die in jeder möglichen Form elektronisch aufgezeichnet werden können. Die Stiftung kann Immaterialgüter, namentlich Nachbarrechte an den Interpretationen des SOB erwerben und in jedem rechtlich zulässigen Sinne in den Medien verwerten.
