## Purpose

1. Die Stiftung fördert die schweizerische Kunstwissenschaft und die Kenntnis des schweizerischen Kunstschaffens national und international. 2. Sie inventarisiert, dokumentiert und erforscht das Kunstschaffen insbesondere in der Schweiz sowie die schweizerischen Sammlungsbestände. 3. Sie dokumentiert, erforscht, konserviert und restauriert das mobile Kunstgut insbesondereder Schweiz und entwickelt hierzu geeignete Konservierungs- und Restaurierungsverfahren. 4. Sie macht die Forschungsergebnisse in geeigneter Weise bekannt. 5. Zur Erfüllung des Stiftungszwecks gemäss Absatz 1-4 betreibt sie das Schweizerische Institut für Kunstwissenschaft (SIK-ISEA), welches die erforderliche Forschung durchführt, im Bereiche dieser Forschung wissenschaftliche Dienstleistungen anbietet und sich durch seine Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler an der akademischen Lehre beteiligt. 6. Im Rahmen des Stiftungszwecks kann die Stiftung Immobilien erwerben und Baurechtsverträge abschliessen.
