## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt, in Erfüllung von Art. 32 der bernischen Kantonsverfassung (BSG 101.1) Massnahmen für die Erhaltung des Schlosses Schwarzenburg als schützenswertes Kulturgut zu treffen. Das Schloss Schwarzenburg ist im Schweizerischen Inventar für Kulturgüter von nationaler Bedeutung als A-Objekt („Kulturgut von nationaler Bedeutung") eingetragen und damit ein vorrangig zu schützendes Kulturgut (Art. 3 Kulturgüterschutzverordnung, SR 520.31). Der Schutz der Kulturgüter dieser Art ist eine völkerrechtliche Verpflichtung der Schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft (Haager Kulturgüterübereinkommen, SR 0.520.3, in Kraft gesetzt von der Unesco am 14. Mai 1954). Weiter bezweckt die Stiftung, Schlossanlage und Park zur Besichtigung und zur Benützung für museale Zwecke zu öffnen sowie Schlossanlage und Park für kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Veranstaltungen in den dafür geeigneten Räumen und Gebieten zu nutzen, soweit dadurch das Denkmal weder gefährdet noch beeinträchtigt wird.
