## Purpose

Die Stiftung hat den Zweck, den Versicherungsnehmern, Versicherten, Verunfallten, Anspruchsberechtigten und Geschädigten die Möglichkeit zu verschaffen, bei Meinungsverschiedenheiten mit einer privaten Versicherungsgesellschaft, der SUVA oder anderen Unfallversicherungen des öffentlichen Rechts die Dienste eines neutralen Ombudsman in Anspruch zu nehmen, ohne dass ihnen daraus Kosten entstehen. Die Tätigkeit des Ombudsman erstreckt sich auf das ganze Gebiet der Schweiz, wobei durch Schaffung regionaler Büros den drei Amtssprachen Rechnung getragen werden soll. Der Aufgabenbereich und die Kompetenzen des Ombudsman werden vom Stiftungsrat in einem Reglement geordnet.
