## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Schaffung und periodische Verleihung eines Dr. Rudolf Maag-Preises zur Auszeichnung schweizerischer und ausländischer Persönlichkeiten, die sich in besonderer Weise um die Pflege und Förderung der Pflanze verdient gemacht haben; Ankauf und Verwaltung von Liegenschaften zum Zweck der Aufbewahrung und Ausstellung künstlerischer und wissenschaftlicher botanischer Werke, sowie Anlage eines Schaugartens; Erwerb von botanischen Büchern und Publikationen, sowie von Bildern von Pflanzen; Durchführung aller sonstigen Massnahmen, die den vorstehend aufgezählten Zwecken der Stiftung im In- und Ausland direkt oder indirekt dienlich sein mögen. Der Stiftungsrat ist gehalten, die Verleihung des Dr. Rudolf Maag-Preises zu regeln. Die Höhe der jährlichen Preissumme soll 2% des ausgewiesenen Stiftungskapitals nicht übersteigen. 10% des jährlichen Nettoertrages ist als Rückstellung wiederum dem Stiftungskapital zuzuschlagen.
