## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt, ein Begegnungs-, Bildungs- und Dokumentationszentrum zum Thema „Lebensraum Gebirge" zu schaffen. Sie organisiert Begegnungen, Schulung, Tagungsbetrieb, Ausstellungen und Kurse zu Themen, welche das Leben im Gebirge betreffen. Die Stiftung legt ausgewählte Dokumentationen an, die Einblick in die vielfältige Thematik unserer Bergwelt gewähren. Die Stiftung setzt sich für die Wiederherstellung, Erhaltung und Pflege naturnaher Kulturlandschaften im Berggebiet ein. Die Stiftung kann weitere Tätigkeiten ausüben, welche im Interesse des Lebensraums Gebirge stehen. Zur Erreichung dieses Zweckes hat die Stiftung einen langfristigen Vertrag mit dem Benediktinerkloster Engelberg über die Benutzung des Herrenhauses Grafenort abgeschlossen. Die Stiftung unterstützt das Benediktinerkloster Engelberg in seinem Bestreben, das Herrenhaus auf Dauer zu erhalten. Die Stiftung kann zur Erreichung ihres Zweckes und im Rahmen ihrer Bedürfnisse Grundstücke oder dingliche Rechte an solchen erwerben. Die Stiftung kann sachverständige Berater und Experten beiziehen sowie Fachkommissionen einsetzen.
