## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Erfüllung der Aufgaben einer Kompensationsgemeinschaft im Sinne von Art. 27 Satz 2 des Bundesgesetzes über die Reduktion der CO2-Emissionen ("CO2-Gesetz"), insbesondere die Erfüllung der Kompensationspflicht für die ihr angeschlossenen kompensationspflichtigen Inverkehrbringer fossiler Treibstoffe. Dies geschieht insbesondere durch direkte oder indirekte Finanzierung, Unterstützung, Planung und Durchführung von nach den Vorschriften des CO2-Gesetzes anrechenbaren Kompensationsmassnahmen im In- und Ausland, namentlich auch im Rahmen nationaler und internationaler Emissionshandelssysteme. Die Stiftung ist ausschliesslich gemeinnützig ausgerichtet und verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke. Sie verfolgt auch keine kommerziellen Zwecke und erstrebt keinen Gewinn. Die Verwendung auch bloss von Teilen des Stiftungsvermögens in anderer Weise als zur Erreichung des Stiftungszweckes ist ausgeschlossen.
