## Purpose

Beizutragen zu einer wohnlichen Stadt, insbesondere zur Schaffung und Erhaltung preisgünstigen Wohnraums, zu einer bedürfnisgerechten Nutzung und zur Schaffung und Erhaltung einer lebenswerten Wohnumgebung, die namentlich auch auf Kinder, Behinderte und alte Menschen Rücksicht nimmt. Die Stiftung leistet ferner Beiträge an eine lebenswerte Wohnumgebung, beispielsweise an die Errichtung und den Betrieb von Quartiertreffpunkten, an die Gestaltung des öffentlichen Raumes, an die Schaffung eines anwohnergerechten Strassenraumes und an die Schaffung und Erhaltung von Grünflächen. Sie kann sowohl Arbeiten Dritter finanziell unterstützen als auch in eigener Regie solche Arbeiten vornehmen. Tätigkeitsgebiet der Stiftung ist Basel und Umgebung, vorab die Stadt Basel.
