## Purpose

Ausschliesslich die wissenschaftliche Erforschung des literarischen Werkes und Nachlasses von Robert Walser durch Erstellung sowie Herausgabe einer umfassenden Robert Walser-Ausgabe nach historisch-kritischen Prinzipien in Buch- und in elektronischer Form in Basler Verlagen. Die Stiftung verwirklicht ihre Zwecke durch den Einsatz eines Herausgeberteams, welches den gesamten literarischen Nachlass Robert Walsers (veröffentlichte und nicht veröffentlichte literarische Texte, inklusive dazugehörige Skizzen, Entwürfe und Vorstufen) sowie das Corpus der "Mikrogramme" computergestützt erfasst und nach historisch-kritischen Massstäben editorisch aufbereitet und als Print-Ausgabe (mit umfassender Faksimile-Edition) und in elektronischer Form herausgibt.
