## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Verwirklichung der rotarischen Ziele im Sinne des Dienstes am Mitmenschen (Gemeindienst, Jugenddienst und Internationaler Dienst) und unterstützt mit dem allgemeinen Stiftungsvermögen insbesondere: Hilfeleistungen zugunsten von in Not oder Bedrängnis geratenen Menschen und Körperschaften im In- und Ausland; die Ausbildung und Förderung von einheimischen Jugendlichen durch Gewährung von Stipendien oder Kostenzuschüssen; die Förderung des internationalen Lehrlings-, Schüler- bzw. Studenten-Austausches, soweit er zum besseren Verständnis unter den Völkern dient; internationale Wohltätigkeits-, Bildungsförderungs- und kulturelle Austauschprogramme der Rotary-Stiftung von Rotary International. Sie leistet ausserdem aus dem besonderen Stiftungsvermögen des Fonds "Rotary für Dich" direkte Soforthilfe an Menschen in Notlagen, wenn die staatlichen und privaten Fürsorgeeinrichtungen und -organisationen nicht, ungenügend oder zuwenig rasch wirksam werden können.
