## Purpose

Förderung von Klein- und Mittelbetrieben: die Stiftung sichert durch Bürgschaften Darlehen der Stifterfirma (ausnahmsweise Darlehen Dritter) oder gewährt selber Darlehen, welche zur Gründung, Erhaltung und Erweiterung von Klein- und Mittelbetrieben im Kanton Glarus unddem angrenzenden Wirtschaftsraum (Gaster, See, March, Höfe) dienen und für die keine oder nur teilweise bankmässige Sicherheiten beigebracht werden können. Die Stiftung kann sich auch für eine bestimmte Zeit an solchen Unternehmen beteiligen. Förderung des Wohnungsbaus: die Stiftung fördert den Wohnungsbau im Kanton Glarus. Sie sichert durch Bürgschaften Darlehen der Stifterfirma (ausnahmsweise Darlehen Dritter) oder gewährt selber Darlehen für den Bau, die Renovation oder den Kauf von Immobilien, die über die banküblichen Grenzen hinaus belehnt werden sollen. Dabei muss die Tragbarkeit beim Gesuchsteller für die Gesamtbelehnung nachgewiesen werden können. Der Erwerb von Liegenschaften ist der Stiftung ausnahmsweise im Rahmen von Verwertungen gestattet. Solche Immobilien sollen so bald als möglich wieder veräussert werden. Die Stiftung betreibt kein nach kaufmännischer Art geführtes Gewerbe und ist nicht gewinnstrebig.
