## Purpose

Die Stiftung dient als Vermittlungsstelle zwischen Forschungs- und Entwicklungsgruppen an der Universität Bern, an der Berner Fachhochschule und an weiteren geeigneten Schweizer Instituten und der Industrie. Durch gezielte Kommunikationsmassnahmen verbessert die Stiftung den Bekanntheitsgrad und die Visibilität der akademischen Institutionen und deren Fachkompetenzen gegenüber der Industrie. Die von der Stiftung erbrachten Dienstleistungen und Aktivitäten sollen die Vernetzung und Zusammenarbeit von akademischen Institutionen und Unternehmen fördern. Die Stiftung verfolgt das Ziel, Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte auf dem Gebiet der Medizintechnik und verwandten Gebieten zu ermöglichen. Als Kompetenzzentrum für Medizintechnik unterstützt die Stiftung die nationale Forschung und Lehre auf diesem Gebiet.
