Die Sortenorganisation vertritt die Interessen der Bündner Käsewirtschaft gegenüber den Behörden und der Öffentlichkeit. Sie wirkt im Vollzug der Massnahmen der öffentlichen Hand mit und erstellt die dazu notwendigen Grundlagen. Die Sortenorganisation kann Empfehlungen zur Mengenregulierung und Preisgestaltung erlassen, soweit dies im Interesse eines nachhaltigen Marktaufbaus und im Einklang mit den rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen steht. Im Rahmen dieser statutarischen Vorgaben kann die Sortenorganisation in anderen Organisationen mitwirken, Geschäfte eingehen und Verträge abschliessen, die geeignet sind, den Zweck der Sortenorganisation zu fördern oder damit in Zusammenhang stehen.
