## Purpose

Der Verband bezweckt, die Interessen der schweizerischen Bäckerei-Konditorei-Confiserie-Branche und seiner Mitglieder zu fördern und zu wahren. Er arbeitet zu diesem Zweck mit beruflich und gewerbepolitisch nahestehenden Organisationen zusammen und nimmt seinen politischen und wirtschaftlichen Einfluss auf allen notwendigen Ebenen wahr. Der Verband übernimmt insbesondere folgende Aufgaben: Förderung einer gesamtschweizerischen, zukunftsorientierten beruflichen Aus- und Weiterbildung insbesondere in Produktion, Detailhandel und Unternehmensführung, aber auch in anderen Berufsrichtungen der Branche; Wirtschaftliche und politische Interessenwahrung zugunsten optimaler Rahmenbedingungen für die Branche; Kommunikation zur positiven Beeinflussung des Images der Branche inklusive geeigneter Werbe-, Marketing- und Promotionsmassnahmen; Informationsplattform für die Mitglieder und interessierte Kreise. Der Verband kann zur Lösung bestimmter Aufgaben ständige oder ad hoc Kommissionen, Ausschüsse und Arbeitsgruppen einsetzen.
