## Purpose

Der SBVV bezweckt die Vertretung der Interessen seiner Mitglieder und fördert die ideellen und wirtschaftlichen Belange des deutschsprachigen Buchhandels der Schweiz und des Fürstentums Liechtenstein, insbesondere: a) die Förderung geordneter Marktverhältnisse und des Leistungswettbewerbs innerhalb der Branche, b) die Vertretung der Interessen aller Mitglieder bei Behörden, Organisationen und anderen Institutionen im In- und Ausland, c) die Förderung der Beziehungen der Mitglieder untereinander, d) die Unterstützung einer branchenbezogenen Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und die Leseförderung, e) das Erbringen von Dienstleistungen für die Mitglieder, f) die Regelung von Arbeitsbedingungen im Einvernehmen mit den Sozialpartnern, g) die Förderung einer fachlichen Aus- und Weiterbildung, h) die Herausgabe eines Verbandsorgans und anderer Publikationen, i) die Buchpromotion im In- und Ausland (bspw. Messen).
