## Purpose

Der Verein bezweckt eine ausgewogene und langfristig orientierte Entwicklung des national bedeutsamen und funktional eng verflochtenen Raums, den die Stadt Zürich und die an sie grenzenden Planungsregionen gemeinsam bilden («RZU-Gebiet»). Zu diesem Zweck führt der Verein folgende Tätigkeiten durch: a) Er fördert den Austausch, die Vernetzung und die Koordination im Mitgliederkreis sowie die themenbezogene Vernetzung der Mitglieder mit relevanten externen Institutionen und Akteuren, b) Auf Wunsch der Mitglieder engagiert sich der Verein in der Interessenvertretung und -vermittlung zwischen den Mitgliedern und den Gemeinden im RZU-Gebiet sowie gegenüber Dritten, c) Er informiert seine Mitglieder über aktuelle und zukünftige entwicklungsstrategisch relevante Themen und Aufgabenstellungen.
