## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Verwirklichung der rotarischen Zielsetzung im Sinne des Dienstes am Mitmenschen (Gemeindienst, internationaler Dienst und Jugenddienst), und zwar insbesondere durch: Hilfeleistung zu Gunsten von in Not und Bedrängnis geratenen Menschen, vor allem in Entwicklungsgebieten des In- und Auslandes; Hilfeleistung an Ältere, Bedürftige sowie kranke und behinderte Menschen; Ausbildung und Förderung von Jugendlichen durch Gewährung von Stipendien oder Kostenzuschüssen; Förderung des internationalen Lehrlings-, Schüler- bzw. Studentenaustausches, der zum besseren Verständnis unter den Völkern dient. Dabei kann die Stiftung von sich aus tätig werden oder sich an Aktionen beteiligen oder solche unterstützen, die durch andere Organisationen mit ähnlicher gemeinnütziger Zielsetzung durchgeführt werden. Die Erlangung von "matching grants" der Rotary Foundation oder anderer wohltätiger Institutionen ist anzustreben. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke, wird aber nach kaufmännischen Grundsätzen geführt. Stiftungsvermögen und seine Erträgnisse dürfen ausschliesslich für die vorstehend genannte Zielsetzung verwendet werden.
