## Purpose

Die Familienausgleichskasse bezweckt die Ausrichtung von Familienzulagen (Kinder- und Ausbildungszulagen) gemäss Bundesgesetz über die Familienzulagen vom 24. März 2006 (im folgenden FamZG) sowie weiteren Zulagen gemäss kantonalen Bestimmungen. Die Familienausgleichskasse führt für einzelne Mitglieder von Gründerverbänden oder einzelne Regional- resp. Kantonalverbände und Sektionen eine Ergänzungsentschädigungskasse zur EO (MEK). Diese dient der Ausrichtung von Entschädigungen an Personen, welche in Friedenszeiten in der schweizerischen Armee, im Rotkreuzdienst, im Zivildienst und im Schutzdienst Dienst leisten, bei Teilnahme an eidg. oder kantonalen Leiterkursen von Jugend und Sport und Jungschützenleiterkursen für jeden Kurstag, für den sie Taggeld oder Funktionssold erhalten sowie während dem Bezug von Vaterschaftsentschädigungen bei Vaterschaftsurlaub. Die Familienausgleichskasse richtet für einzelne Gründerverbände oder einzelne Regional- resp. Kantonalverbände und Sektionen freiwillige Geburtszulagen, Absenzenentschädigungen und Lohnnachgenuss im Todesfall gemäss den gesamtarbeitsvertraglichen Bestimmungen, aus. Dies, sofern sie diese Leistungen bei der Familienausgleichskasse versichert haben.
