## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Durchführung der beruflichen Vorsorge im Rahmen des BVG und seiner Ausführungsbestimmungen für die Mitglieder und deren Arbeitnehmer der angeschlossenen Organisationen, welche dem medizinischen Berufsstand zuzurechnen sind, gegen die wirtschaftlichen Folgen von Alter, Tod und Invalidität. Der Stiftung können sich durch Beschluss des Stiftungsrats ausnahmsweise auch andere Organisationen und Arbeitgeber anschliessen, sofern die beitretenden versicherten Personen eine vergleichbare Risikostruktur aufweisen. Über den Anschluss entscheidet die Stiftung. Der Anschluss erfolgt aufgrund eines schriftlichen Vertrags. Selbständigerwerbende können alleine oder zusammen mit ihren Arbeitnehmern versichert werden. Die Stiftung kann über die gesetzlichen Mindestleistungen hinaus weiter gehende Vorsorge betreiben, einschliesslich Unterstützungsleistungen in Notlagen, wie bei Krankheit, Unfall, Invalidität oder Arbeitslosigkeit gewähren. Zur Erreichung ihres Zweckes kann die Stiftung Versicherungsverträge abschliessen oder in bestehende Verträge eintreten, wobei sie selbst Versicherungsnehmerin und Begünstigte sein muss. Darüber hinaus kann sie alle Massnahmen vorkehren, Geschäfte tätigen und sich an Unternehmen beteiligen sowie solche gründen, welche der Erfüllung des Stiftungszwecks direkt oder indirekt dienen.
