PRO BAHN SCHWEIZ setzt sich für eine mittel- und langfristige Betriebs- und Infrastrukturplanung im öffentlichen Verkehr ein. Der Verein nimmt zu entsprechenden Konzepten und Fahrplänen Stellung und erarbeitet solche bei Bedarf selber. Zur Durchsetzung seiner Ziele nimmt der Verein Einfluss auf die politischen Entscheidungsprozesse.
