## Purpose

Der Verband unterstützt den Fortbestand und die Entwicklung der ihm angeschlossenen Vereine, Pferdesport- und Pferdezuchtorganisationen, vertritt deren Interessen nach aussen und ist bestrebt, möglichst alle örtlichen und regionalen Pferdesport- und Zuchtorganisationen in der Nordwestschweiz und den angrenzenden Gebieten zu erfassen. Er fördert den Pferdesport, insbesondere in den Bereichen Breiten- und Basissport sowie die Freizeitreiterei. Er ist verantwortlich für die Grundausbildung der Pferdesportinteressierten und des Nachwuchses, organisiert und führt Kurse durch, und fördert die Durchführung von PNW-Prüfungen und PNW-Meisterschaften. Er berücksichtigt in seinen Aktivitäten die Belange von Pferd und Umwelt und des Tierschutzes und fördert die Kameradschaft unter den Vereinen, Pferdesport- und Zuchtorganisationen und den einzelnen Pferdesportlern und -freunden.
