Die Pensionskasse kann ihre Tätigkeit mit Zustimmung der Firma gemäss vorstehender Definition in Art. 4 Abs.1) auf das Personal von finanziell oder wirtschaftlich mit der Firma eng verbundenen inländischen Unternehmen sowie auf ehemals finanziell und wirtschaftlich eng verbundene inländische Unternehmen ausdehnen, sofern die Rechte des Personals der Firma dadurch nicht geschmälert werden; der letztgenannte Ausdehnungsfall (Ausdehnung auf ehemals verbundene Unternehmen) dient einzig der Sicherung der Angestellten im Rahmen von Unternehmensverkäufen durch die Firma und die Pensionskasse stellt eine geschlossene Sammelstiftung dar.
