## Purpose

Zweck der Stiftung ist, die Erforschung der Ursachen des Post-Polio-Syndroms (PPS) zu fördern. Sollte sich die Erforschung des PPS in einem späteren Zeitpunkt erübrigen, ist der Ersatzzweck die Unterstützung der Forschung in verwandten neuro-muskulären Bereichen. Sofern der Zweck der Stiftung es erfordert, darf nicht nur der Vermögensertrag, sondern auch die Vermögenssubstanz selbst angetastet werden. Zur Förderung und Unterstützung des Stiftungszweckes kann das Stiftungsvermögen jederzeit durch weitere Zuwendungen gespiesen und mit Gewinn bewirtschaftet werden. Die Stiftung darf in dieser Absicht auch Einnahmen aus Schutzrechten oder kommerziellen Erfolgen verlangen und annehmen, die im Zusammenhang mit unterstützten Forschungsprojekten entstehen. Sie darf jedoch nicht selbst am Markt für Endprodukte kommerziell teilnehmen oder tätig werden. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
