## Purpose

Die gemeinnützige Stiftung unterstützt bedürftige Patientinnen und Patienten bzw. betreute Personen sowie Forschungsprojekte des Bürgerspitals Basel und des Universitätsspitals Basel. Werden beide Spitäler ohne Rechtsnachfolge aufgehoben, erfolgt die Erfüllung des Zwecks an anderen Spitälern in der Nordwestschweiz. Die Stiftung kann alle Tätigkeiten entfalten, die in den Bereich des Stiftungszwecks fallen oder mit ihm in einem sachlichen Zusammenhang stehen. Die Stiftung führt ausserdem einen Arbeitgeber-Fonds zugunsten der Kämpf AG in Basel bzw. deren allfälligen Rechtsnachfolgerinnen sowie zugunsten von Unternehmen, die mit der Kämpf AG wirtschaftlich oder finanziell eng verbunden sind. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke.
