## Purpose

Die Stiftung bezweckt die Förderung von Bestrebungen, die im öffentlichen Interesse liegen und insbesondere den Gemeinden Herisau und Schwellbrunn oder grösseren oder kleineren Kreisen der Bevölkerung dieser Gemeinden dienen. Wissenschaftliche, geistige, kulturelle, soziale, gemeinnützige und sportliche Belange können ebenso unterstützt werden wie Vorhaben des Natur-, Landschafts- und Heimatschutzes. Der Stiftungsrat ist im Rahmen vorstehender Zweckumschreibung berechtigt, in einem Reglement nähere Weisungen über die Verwendung der Stiftungsgelder zu erlassen. Die Stiftung ist befugt alles zu unternehmen was zur Erreichung ihrer Zwecksetzung dienlich ist. Sie wird in erster Linie Beiträge ausrichten. Doch kann sie sich auch in anderer Weise finanziell beteiligen oder auf eigene Initiative handeln und bestimmte Vorhaben ausführen.
