## Purpose

Zweck der Stiftung ist es, auf internationaler Ebene Erfahrung und Wissen um die Prävention der kardiometabolischen Krankheiten für Ärzte, Medizinstudenten und die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen. Die Stiftung verfolgt die Anliegen inter alia indem sie: a) das Studium der Präventivmassnahmen fördert, Expertenberichte verfasst und Lehrmaterial erstellt. Die Stiftung fördert die Erarbeitung von Richtlinien betreffend präventiver Strategien gegen die kardiometabolischen Krankheiten und von auf neueste wissenschaftliche Evidenz gestützten Behandlungsmethoden; b) solche Informationen und Empfehlungen den interessierten Kreisen in einem Dokumentationszentrum zugänglich macht; c) den Kontakt mit den Medien pflegt, mit dem Zweck, Informationen bezüglich Bekämpfung und Prävention der kardiometabolischen Krankheiten weitmöglichst zu verbreiten; d) mit staatlichen Organisationen, Industrie, Versicherungen, etc., zusammenarbeitet. Die Stiftung wird zwecks Evaluation, Durchführung und Verbreitung von Präventivmassnahmen über nationale Organisationen tätig sein, wo immer dies zweckmässig erscheint; e) Workshops, Seminare und Konferenzen organisiert. Für die unter c) bis e) erwähnten Zwecke wird der Stiftungsrat Gremien, Expertenkomitees, etc., einsetzen.
