## Purpose

Die Aufgabe der IIHF besteht darin, den Eishockeysport weltweit zu fördern und die vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee anerkannte Eishockeybewegung anzuführen. Zu den Aufgaben der IIHF gehören unter anderem: a) Verwaltung, Entwicklung und Förderung des Eishockeysports in allen vom Kongress genehmigten Formen und für alle Altersgruppen, einschliesslich der Ausbildung von Trainern und Offiziellen, weltweit; b) Kontrolle des internationalen Eishockeys; c) Verabschiedung, Formulierung, Erlass, Auslegung, Umsetzung und Änderung von Statuten, Zusatzbestimmungen, Kodizes und Richtlinien, die für die Leitung, Entwicklung, Kontrolle und Förderung des Eishockeysports erforderlich sind, insbesondere, aber nicht ausschliesslich, in Bezug auf die Teilnahmeberechtigung an IIHF-Wettbewerben, den geordneten internationalen Verkehr von Spielern und die Festlegung internationaler Spielregeln; d) Formulierung oder Verabschiedung und Umsetzung geeigneter Richtlinien und Programme in Bezug auf Gleichberechtigung und Gerechtigkeit, Missbrauch und Belästigung, Drogen und Doping, Ethik und Good Governance, Wettbewerbsmanipulationen, Gesundheit und Sicherheit sowie andere Angelegenheiten, die sich von Zeit zu Zeit als Fragen ergeben, die im besten Interesse des Eishockeys liegen; e) Gesetzgebung für die lIHF-Aktivitäten und deren Leitung in Übereinstimmung mit den Grundsätzen der Good Governance; f) Einrichtung und Aufrechterhaltung des IIHF-Gerichtssystems, das Verfahren für die Anfechtung von Entscheidungen und die Beilegung von Streitigkeiten vorsieht; g) Vergabe und Organisation aller lIHF-Veranstaltungen und -Wettbewerbe und gegebenenfalls Genehmigung internationaler Eishockeyspiele, wenn dies im Interesse der Förderung ihrer Aufgabe und Rolle ist; h) Vermittlung von Sponsoring, Medienberichterstattung, Lizenzrechten, Werbung und Merchandising im Zusammenhang mit lIHF-Wettbewerben; und i) mit Verbänden, Organisationen, Stiftungen, Gesellschaften oder Einzelpersonen zusammenzuarbeiten, ihnen beizutreten und/oder sie zu unterstützen, deren Aktivitäten oder Ziele denen der IIHF ähnlich sind oder die den Eishockeysport in der ganzen Welt oder in bestimmten Teilen der Welt fördern.
