Die Heilpädagogische Vereinigung (HPV Uzwil-Flawil; nachfolgend der Verein) bezweckt: Kinder und Jugendliche, die dem Unterricht in der Volksschule nicht zu folgen mögen, so weit wie möglich zu fördern und ihnen dabei den Verbleib in der Familie zu ermöglichen, er erfüllt einen Bildungs- und Erziehungsauftrag nach geltendem Recht; dem Schulalter entwachsene Menschen mit Behinderung weiter zu fördern und auszubilden, damit sie ihren Lebensunterhalt ganz oder teilweise selber verdienen können; Menschen mit Behinderung, welche nicht fähig sind, in der freien Wirtschaft zu arbeiten, Arbeits- und Verdienstmöglichkeiten zu bieten; die Ausbildung und Umschulung von Menschen mit Behinderung; die Sicherstellung der Betreuung und Beschäftigung von Menschen mit Behinderung, die nicht in der Lage sind, einer Erwerbstätigkeit nachzugehen; erwachsenen Menschen mit Behinderung Wohnmöglichkeiten zu bieten, die therapeutische Behandlung von Behinderungen.
