Er betreibt in Winterthur eine leistungsfähige, für die ganze Region tätige Geschäftsstelle für integriertes Standortmarketing im Bereich Wirtschaftsförderung und Tourismusmarketing, die insbesondere folgende Aufgaben wahrnimmt: Entwicklung und Umsetzung eines überzeugenden visuellen Auftritts (Marke) nach aussen; Promotionsaktivitäten zur Steigerung der Bekanntheit und Verbesserung des Image' der Region Winterthur; Wirtschaftsförderung (inkl. Ansiedlungsgeschäft und Bestandpflege) sowie Tourismusmarketing im In- und Ausland; Betrieb einer regionalen Platfform und eines breiten Netzwerks zu den Themen Wirtschaft, Tourismus, Bildung und Kultur; Wahrnehmung der Interessen der Region und einzelner Mitglieder in nationalen und internationalen Foren; Sensibilisierung der Bevölkerung zu den Themen Wirtschaft, Tourismus, Kultur, Bildung und zur Standortregion als Ganzes; Bereitstellung von branchenübergreifenden Angeboten; Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Wirtschaftsverbänden und Organisationen aus Kultur, Bildung und Tourismus.
