## Purpose

Der Verband vertritt und unterstützt als Dachverband die Interessen seiner Mitglieder als EVU Eigner, Halter und/oder Betreiber von historischen Schienenfahrzeugen und Bahninfrastrukturen. Er setzt sich dafür ein, dass die Bestrebungen seiner Mitglieder als eine kulturelle Aktivität anerkannt und entsprechend gefördert werden. Der Verband unterstützt die Bemühungen seiner Mitglieder die (betriebsfähigen) Fahrzeuge der Öffentlichkeit als lebendige Kulturgüter im Betrieb zu zeigen.
