## Purpose

Die Stiftung führt im Rahmen des Bundesrechts die berufliche Vorsorge für die Behördenmitglieder, das Personal der Kantonalen Verwaltung und der Kantonalen Anstalten, der Sozialversicherungen Glarus sowie für die vom Kanton besoldeten und an den vom Kanton anerkannten Berufsschulen und Sonderschulen angestellten Lehrpersonen durch. Die Stiftung bezweckt den beruflichen Vorsorgeschutz ihrer Versicherten sowie deren Angehörigen gegen die wirtschaftlichen Folgen von Alter, Tod und Invalidität. Die Leistungen entsprechen mindestens denjenigen des BVG und der weiteren Bestimmungen des Bundesrechts. Der Stiftungsrat erlässt Reglemente über die Leistungen, die Finanzierung und die Kontrolle der Stiftung sowie über die Organisation und Verwaltung. Die Reglemente können unter Wahrung der erworbenen Ansprüche der Destinatäre geändert werden. Die Reglemente und deren Änderungen sind der Aufsichtsbehörde einzureichen. Der Stiftungsrat kann mit anderen öffentlich- oder privatrechtlichen Institutionen, welche öffentliche Funktionen wahrnehmen, den Anschluss für das in ihrem Dienst stehende Personal vertraglich vereinbaren. Anschlussvereinbarungen sind der Aufsichtsbehörde mitzuteilen. Zur Erreichung ihres Zwecks kann die Stiftung Versicherungsverträge abschliessen oder in bestehende Verträge eintreten, wobei sie selber Versicherungsnehmerin und Begünstigte sein muss.
