## Purpose

Sammlung von Kunstwerken des Malers Giovanni Segantini, vornehmlich im Gebäude des "Segantini Museums" in St. Moritz, sowie Bekanntmachung des Werkes von Giovanni Segantini durch Ausstellungen, Ausleihungen und Veranstaltungen im nationalen und internationalen Rahmen. Der Stiftungsrat bemüht sich auch um Neuerwerbungen für die Sammlung sowie um Restaurierungs- und Instandstellungsarbeiten der im Segantini Museum vorhandenen Kunstwerke. Das Werk des Kunstmalers Giovanni Segantini ist im nationalen und internationalen Rahmen auch durch Pflege, Bekanntmachung, Präsentation und wissenschaftliche Bearbeitung (inkl. eines Dokumentationszentrums) der eigenen Werke und der Leihgaben zu fördern; darüber hinaus soll auch die wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit über Giovanni Segantinis Werk sowie die Herausgabe von Publikationen und Reproduktionen im Rahmen des Stiftungszweckes tunlichst gefördert werden. Dafür kann die Stiftung Zuwendungen aller Art, d.h. Sach- und Geldzuwendungen, entgegennehmen. In den Rahmen des Stiftungszweckes fällt auch die Ausleihe von Sammlungsgegenständen, einschliesslich der Leihgaben der Deposita für Wanderausstellungen oder für zeitweise Ausstellung an andern Museen. Die Giovanni Segantini Stiftung ist daher kraft ihres Charakters, ihrer Zielsetzung und ihrer Organisation eine internationale Stiftung. Die Stiftung verfolgt weder Erwerbs- noch Selbsthilfezwecke. Die Giovanni Segantini Stiftung soll keine Ausstellungen bzw. Tätigkeiten entwickeln, die nicht mit Giovanni Segantini in Zusammenhang stehen.
