## Purpose

Förderung, Finanzierung und Betrieb der aus der Gründerzeit der Glatthalbahn stammenden und unter kantonalem Schutz stehenden Lokomotivremisen beim Bahnhof Uster. Diese zu erhalten und nach denkmalpflegerischen Grundsätzen zu restaurieren, mittels eines Gleisanschlusses und einer Drehscheibe an das SBB-Netz anzuschliessen, als Werkstatt und Einstellhallen für historisches Eisenbahnrollmaterial einzurichten und zu betreiben, der Oeffentlichkeit in geeigneter Weise zugänglich zu machen. Auf dem Areal soll weiter ein regionales Eisenbahnmuseum eingerichtet und der Oeffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden. Sofern Bedarf besteht, sollen geeignete Räumlichkeiten für weitere eisenbahnorientierte und zielverwandte Organisationen zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Allfällige andere Nutzungen des Areals, von Gebäuden oder von Gebäudeteilen sind im Einvernehmen mit dem Kanton festzulegen. Das Areal und die Gebäulichkeiten sollen vom Kanton im Baurecht übernommen werden. Weitere Aktivitäten, die im Zusammenhang mit dem Eisenbahnwesen stehen, können unterstützt werden. Insbesondere können zum Kauf angebotene Anlagen, Fahrzeuge und Objekte erworben, sowie Personen oder Institutionen, die dasselbe Ziel anstreben, finanziell unterstützt werden.
